From July 2006 Red Bus was the first Private Bus Company outside of the Sydney Metropolitan area to negotiate a contractual arrangement with the N.S.W government enforcing Red Bus Service's commitment to the Central Coast of N.S.W.
The Company has always been a family concern with the present day owners being 4 th generation descendents of the Sloman family, many of whom are involved with the day to day operations and the original philosophy to provide a good service for all its passengers and a friendly, safe environment for all their employees, still continues. A testament to that is the number of employees that have been with the company for most of their working years.
The NSW Government will implement new bus timetables in Sydney and in suburban and regional areas on Sunday 20 October.
The new timetables are part of the integrated Customer Timetable, which includes new times for train, bus and ferry services, introduces new services and improves connections between these different types of public transport to minimise waiting times.
Route 41 will return to a paid service at a revised frequency, however it will continue to follow the same route as the Free Shuttle. You will need to purchase a valid ticket prior to or when boarding this service.
