Start: 21/2/2008 3:30PM
The School Tcard program will finish on Wednesday 19 March following the cancellation of the Tcard contract in January.
This means that students will once again just carry their printed travel passes, in the same way they did before School Tcard started operation.
Students should continue carrying both their printed travel passes and their Tcards up to and including Tuesday 18 March.
From Wednesday 19 March onwards, schools will collect Tcards from students so the cards can be disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
Parents should remind their children are they are required to carry both the printed travel pass and the School Tcard.
Students not holding a printed travel pass will be unable to travel for free from Wednesday 19 March. However, any student not currently in possession of a printed travel pass should immediately fill out a SSTS application form and return it to school. Forms are available from school.
The Public Transport Ticketing Corporation is writing directly to all schools and parents/guardians of students involved in School Tcard to advise them of the upcoming changes.
Students or their parents who have concerns or queries should ring the 131 500 Transport Infoline.
Red Bus has met the needs of our passengers by creating a DDA (Disability Discrimination ACT) accessible website. The new website features an accessible structure including resizable text, special non-frame layout and much more. For full details visit our accessibility page.
Passengers are advised that our latest timetables commenced 10 September 2005. The changes enable our bus services to meet with arriving and departing train timetables that commenced on 4 September 2005.
